| Affirmations
are powerful tools in maintaining optimum health, and gaining more
successes in every area of your life. |
They
should be spoken aloud and written down over and over |
Record
your affirmations on audio tape or CD and listen to them while
you sleep |
Repeat
them aloud during the day as often as you can but at least first
thing in the morning and last thing at night |
Use
your visualization skills to see your affirmation as if it is
happening for you NOW! (What does it look like, feel like, smell
like, sound like imagine it fully) |
| Guidelines
for Affirmations |
They
are most powerful stated in the present and starting with the
words "I AM" |
Include
an action verb |
Include
a feeling adverb |
Be
stated in the positive |
Be
short, concise and specific |
Affirm
what you want, rather than what you want to get rid of |
Work
with only one or two affirmations at a time allowing them time
to work at the subconscious level before moving on to the other
affirmations. |
Affirmations
must be repetitive and done every day, i.e. I am happily exercising
three times a week! |
Write your affirmations
down 25 times each morning and evening and say them aloud 100 times
in the morning and evening. Record them and listen to them as often
during the day as you can and while you are sleeping. Write them on
sticky notes and place them around the house.
Be aware that even positive affirmations can bring hidden subconscious
material to the surface. If you experience negative feelings or thoughts
while using your affirmations do NOT quit. The affirmations are working
to release old negative patterns. These patterns need to be released
before you can draw what you affirm to you. Journal your experiences
and if this is not enough to move through the experiences seek professional
healing.
